e-VisualQ

e-VisualQ is basically a service added to every e-government app which aims to help blind people navigate through the apps. This service is like “VoiceOver” which is provided in the iOS devices.

This CV is tailored for the different petrochemical industries in Qatar that I  plan to apply for after graduation.

Reflection

This document made me realize that I didn't do a lot of things in my years at TAMUQ outside of my classes. So, I have decided to spend my summer in research, training sessions, and online courses offered by other universities.

This poster shows the stages of the project which includes: problem, solution, navigation, activation, why the government should consider it, and outcomes.

Reflection

This poster was entirely done while being in the social distancing phase due to Coronavirus situation. I am really proud and satisfied of this project. I really impressed myself with my design abilities and that I was the one responsible for it. However, not going through the prototype process has made things difficult for me and my team to visualize. but again, I am really glad that we figured things out to come up with this poster.

The problem statement represents the problem, solution and impact that I and my team are trying to figure out in order to develop an e-Gov application to help Qatar move toward being a smart country.

Reflection

Going through the process of composing this piece has taught me that my writing skills are much better when I work with a team instead of working alone. In the past, I used to leave writing assignments until the end because I have always prioritized major courses over Liberal Arts courses. Now after giving this piece enough time to write, think, and be creative about it I think I will always say yes when it comes to collaborative writing. Collaborative writing has helped me be more responsible for myself and my team. I am proud to say that this piece is an outcome for the good and dedicative work that I have put in it. However, I have been through some frustrating circumstances that kept me stressing for several weeks. when my team members decided that we will consider an app for renewing the  Qatari permit residence without informing me so I ended up writing about something else. Fortunately, we had the chance to submit several drafts to our colleagues and the professor. submitting several drafts has helped us change our idea and narrow it to the extent of developing an app for visually impaired people.

This video is a presentation that represents our proposed idea as a team. it is basically a preview of what is discussed in the problem statement.

Reflection

Doing a video presentation rather than an oral presentation has taught me that I am really good at using technology especially editing, recording, and helping my team-mates in this matter.  The sudden decision of forbidding access to TAMUQ for all undergraduate students has caused the need for relying on technology and online resources. Thank god that our university was fully prepared for such a situation in a way that it didn't affect our plans.
